The Magic EU-funded project is gearing up for the first workshops with journalists and Muslim women and communities.
The project’s consortium reviewed today the upcoming phases of the project in its annual coordination meeting.
The project has been mapping gender islamophobia in Belgian and Spanish newspapers so far and it’s already finishing toolkits that will be used soon in several workshops to equip Muslim communities´ leaders, Muslim women, and CSOs working on diversity with skills and tools to recognize and stand against stereotypes against Muslim women in public narratives. The toolkits will be also addressed to journalists to promote inclusiveness of Muslim voices in the media.
Complementary to those training and the following launching of supporting awareness campaigns, MAGIC is determined to enhance knowledge, dialogue, and mutual cooperation among the targeted groups of the project and media practitioners.
